Circul8 partners with Hone to turn growth into greater social impact

Sydney, Australia: Independent B Corp creative agency Circul8 has been appointed as the creative and marketing partner for Hone, a social enterprise creating meaningful employment and opportunities for people with disability.

The partnership will see Circul8 work across Hone’s growing portfolio of brands and services, providing integrated creative and marketing support spanning brand, social media, digital, content, EDM and design.

Central to the partnership will be helping more businesses and consumers understand the impact their partnership and purchasing decisions can have. By choosing Hone, they are not only buying a product or service, they are helping create meaningful employment, skills and opportunities for people with disability.

Hone has been creating employment opportunities for people with disability for more than 50 years. Today, the organisation operates a diverse portfolio spanning commercial services, recycling and the Container Deposit Scheme, NDIS employment services, Lumiere and Connections by Hone.

Circul8 CEO Alana Stocks said the opportunity to help grow a business where commercial success directly contributes to greater social impact made Hone a natural fit for the agency.

“What makes Hone such an exciting client for us is that commercial growth and social impact are intrinsically connected. The more successful Hone becomes, the more opportunities it can create for people with disability. That gives everything we do together a much bigger purpose,” Stocks said.

“There’s also a really powerful proposition for Hone’s customers. Businesses and consumers make purchasing decisions every day, and increasingly they want those decisions to reflect their values. If you can choose a great product or service and have that same decision create a positive social impact, why wouldn’t you?

“As a B Corp, that thinking really resonates with us. Our role is to help more people understand the Hone story, strengthen the brand and ultimately turn greater awareness into greater commercial and social impact.”

Hone CEO Nicole Bruce said growing awareness of the connection between purchasing and impact represented a significant opportunity for Hone.

“Every time a business chooses to work with Hone or a customer chooses one of our products or services, they become part of the impact we’re creating,” Nicole said.

“We want to connect with more customers and partners who want their purchasing decisions to make a difference, without compromising on quality or commercial outcomes.

“That’s why this partnership is so exciting for us. Circul8 understands that our purpose and our commercial ambitions aren’t separate, they fuel each other. The more we grow, the more opportunities we can create for people with disability.”

For Circul8, the partnership builds on the agency’s long-standing focus on working with organisations and brands that seek to make a positive contribution to people, communities and the planet.

Stocks added: “Great marketing can do more than deliver a commercial result. In Hone’s case, every new customer, contract and opportunity we help create has the potential to contribute to something much bigger.”
