You worked for our beloved ABC and triple j for over 10 years. Most memorable moment?
I loved working the music festivals — exhausting but exhilarating work. I’ll always remember taking photos of Trent Reznor on stage and then sitting next to him during a broadcast.
What was the single most valuable skill/lesson the ABC taught you?
That there is no single solution to anything and that kindness and generosity are important.
If you could eat one dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Noodles—in all its forms.
What do you do to relieve stress?
Play music. I’ve just started learning the trombone so it’s great stress relief for me, but maybe not my neighbours.
What skill do you wish you had?
I wish I could speak Mandarin. I’ve been struggling with learning the language for over a decade.
I loved the idea of a small agency with ethical values. Plus, it was a chance to work with Ann Chesterman again and I know we can make good things happen.
If you had to name your pet after a famous person, who would it be?
The closest thing I have to a pet is a stick insect. Does that count? If I had to rename it after someone famous perhaps I’d have to call it Twiggy.
What’s the one thing you would change about our industry?
Excessive use of post-it notes.
What is your biggest office pet peeve?
Someone eating dumplings with vinegar sauce inside the office. (If dumplings are shared it’s all OK.)
Would you rather be bunk buddies with Marie Condo or Mariah Carey?
Mariah, as long as I got the top bunk.
