The latest campaign from Greenpeace Australia, highlights reasons to save our world famous reef from being turned into a shipping highway serviced by nine mega coal ports.
Based around the Save the Reef website, which uses Google, Facebook & Twitter to aggregate reef-related images using hashtags, and asks users to upload their own reasons as an image or text.
Each reasons is displayed on the website and shared in social media, it’s also sent to the Minister for the Environment Tony Burke, via email in a direct attempt to show the government that there is NO public support for the nine mega coal ports planned for the world heritage area.
The campaign supports the first Australian visit of the Rainbow Warrior 3 a feature of earlier campaigns by Circul8 for Greenpeace International.
